Worship

What Is Worship Like at Faith Community Church?

Sunday Morning
Every Sunday morning worship service is held in the Main Auditorium with Pastor Ronnie Brown. As you walk in, our friendly membership will greet you and be available for you to help you and answer any questions you may have.

Prayer
We are a church that believes in prayer and we start each service with an informal time of testimony concerning answered prayer, intercessory prayer (praying for others), and corporate prayer.

Singing and Special Music
We believe in having a church service with uplifting hymns and spiritual songs (both old and new) that will, first of all bring glory to Jesus Christ and also stir and inspire you. Every service gives you an opportunity to join us in singing biblically sound songs of worship to God. We sometimes also have heart stirring special singing from our membership.

Preaching
We consider the preaching of the Word of God to be the centerpiece of the service. 1 Corinthians 1:21 reads, “…it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.” Each service, Brother Ronnie will bring an expositional message from the word of God that will not only plainly and practically declare the truth of God’s word, but communicate spiritually nourishing truth.

Invitation
At the end of the message, our pastor will extend an invitation. This is a time for hearers to respond and make life-changing decisions at the altar or at their seat. The decision may be to trust Christ as personal Savior or to ask for the Lord help to grow deeper in your commitment to follow Christ. For others, this is a time to bring needs to the Lord in prayer. If you would like someone to pray for you or would like to make your decision public, our pastor or some of our loving membership will pray with you and do what they can to help you.

Baptism
The Bible teaches that baptism is an act of obedience after a decision is made to follow Christ. We celebrate this act of public profession of faith. If you have trusted Christ and have never been baptized, we encourage you to make your way to the front during the invitation and tell the member that comes to assist you that you have come to publicly follow Christ in believer’s baptism.
